For AI enablement and transformation

Put workforce knowledge into the AI adoption picture.

AI adoption requires more than tool access. People need to understand when a use case fits, what could go wrong and where human control belongs. Core-6 measures that foundational knowledge as one part of an enablement programme.

The decision

A rollout metric is not a readiness metric

A high licence activation rate can coexist with weak verification or unsafe data handling. Teams may adopt a tool quickly without a shared understanding of when to trust it. Equally, strong knowledge will not help if workflows, policies or management incentives make responsible use difficult.

Transformation leaders therefore need to see both sides: what employees know, and whether the operating environment lets them use that knowledge. The genAssess Core-6 assessment can establish the first signal consistently across cohorts.

In practice

Example: before expanding an AI assistant

Assess a pilot group’s Core-6 knowledge on Sova. Review weaker areas, such as data governance or output evaluation, alongside the assistant’s actual use cases and controls. Address knowledge gaps through learning, improve the workflow where needed and monitor separate operational outcomes. Core-6 itself does not analyse those workflows.

01

Map the work

Identify the tasks, data and decisions affected by the rollout, including who remains accountable.

02

Measure the people baseline

Use the same Core-6 knowledge measure across relevant groups to see where foundational understanding may need support.

03

Join the evidence

Pair the result with adoption, quality, risk and feedback measures, then refine guidance and controls.

Reading the result

One layer in a wider transformation plan

Core-6 is not a maturity audit, a role-specific practical exercise or a predictor of the return on an AI investment. It measures knowledge. The A/A/H task lens and PRIME framework on this site can help teams discuss work and applied behaviours, but neither is an in-market genAssess assessment module.

Use the baseline to choose where to focus enablement and to ask better questions of each team. Review what changes in real work separately from what changes in test performance.

For the assessment format and evidence, see the Core-6 product page and the validation account.

The product boundary

Sova delivers one generic Core-6 knowledge assessment. Task analysis, operating controls and workplace outcomes need their own methods.
